Another look at "Trailer Park Boys"
I've never seen it, but it is huge here in Canada, so I thought I'd provide this linky to an interesting write-up on Apple's site:
Jeremy Harty & Barry Dunn — The Making of "Trailer Park Boys"
How they make it (with Apple products, natch), with info about the Ivan Reitman-helmed feature film.

I wondered how the author of a post on Small Dead... got the idea that advancing Paine over Burke was somehow Marxist thinking. Burke was 1729 to 1797; Paine 1731 to 1814; and Marx 1818 to 1883. The famous Manifesto would not have been bedside reading; Paine was a signer of the Declaration of Independence (and a brave soldier in the War of Independence). And Burke? Did you think he spent 14 continuous years in the House of Commons by popularity? A big landlord, his patron, could choose whom he wanted for a personally controled riding (rotten borough, they called it). As long as Burke's gasbag utterances suited his master, he was ok. There is a recent bio by Cruise O'Brien.
Paine was a democrat whose political thinking was tested in the fires of the American struggle for independence, no Marxist need apply.
